Book Sale & Baked Goodies Silent Auction

October 24-25, 2025

The library is having a HUGE fundraiser in the side yard tent. There will be a used book sale and new this year, a baked goodies silent auction. The sale and auction will go straight through opening at 5pm, Friday and ending on Sunday at 4pm, so bring your flashlight if you are shopping after dark! This is our big fundraisers of the year. Did you know we are an independent library with a portion of our budget coming from the towns of Winhall and Stratton.

The book sale will have a great selection of donated books and weeded titles from our collection. The book sale helps clear out books to make room for new books. The silent auction will feature a variety of baked goodies from cakes to boxes of biscotti and lasagnas. Participation is easy, you just fill out a bid form in the tent, get your number and start bidding. Be sure to stop back throughout the weekend so you don’t loose out on that tasty treat. Once the auction is over winners and chefs will be connected so they can coordinate a future date for delivery.

Yoga with Barb Lowes for Brain Longevity
Barbara Lowes has been practicing yoga her entire adult life. She is a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher E-RYT500, YACEP, specializing in Power Yoga, Slow Yoga, Restorative, Yin, and Chair. She is also a practicing Reiki Master and a Certified Brain Longevity Specialist by the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation.

Barb was inspired to study the practice of Brain Longevity after her father passed away from Alzheimer’s. She uses this passion to teach others the empowering yoga strategies found in ancient wisdom teachings. These studies are proven to relieve tension and anxiety, improve mood, boost focus and concentration – plus build a strong memory to keep the brain active, powerful and healthy.

This style of practice promotes peace and quiet in the mind and body, preparing you for meditation. Our practice will end with a mind body meditation called Kirtan Kriya, also known as brain aerobics. Bring a yoga mat.
