Donate

This #LibraryGivingDay 2023 your donation will help our little red schoolhouse library to continue to improve our collection and our facility. Our goal today is to raise $1000.00. Please consider a donation. Whether you donate $5, $20 or $100, every little bit helps.

Last year we successfully raised enough funds to join join the Catamount Consortium, a network of Vermont public libraries. We are now a fully automated library and Winhall readers now have instant access to 22 other library’s collections through our new catalog, Aspen Discovery. The interior walls were repainted and the floors refinished. We bought new mats to protect those floors! Our focus is shifting to improve the back window area, which was last updated in the spring of 1995.

Why does a public library need to raise money through private donations?
Each year, Winhall & Stratton taxpayers generously vote to support their library, however, this appropriation provides approximately 70% of operating expenses. We receive no funding from the State.

Make a Contribution

With your help, we can continue to serve as a vibrant, dynamic heart of the community;  providing unique and important services, crucial for the education, enjoyment, and enrichment of community members regardless of their age, economic circumstances, or educational level. Every little bit helps.
